We Accept Most Metal Appliances For Free
Many appliances have to go through hazardous material removal before they can be recycled in California, and that work often costs about as much as the metal inside is worth. That is why a lot of places, including transfer stations, charge $20 to $30 or more just to take an old unit off your hands. We handle the hazardous removal ourselves and accept most metal appliances at no cost to you, so you skip the fee and keep the whole thing simple.

Do you charge anything to drop off appliances?
No. We accept most metal appliances at no cost, and we take care of the required hazardous material removal in-house. You avoid the disposal fees most other sites charge.
Do you pay for any appliances?
Most household units are accepted free rather than paid, since their metal value covers the cost of safe processing. We do pay for evacuated HVAC and air conditioning units and for certain commercial and industrial kitchen equipment. Just ask and we will let you know.
Do I need to prep an appliance before dropping it off?
Please empty and dry out refrigerators and freezers, disconnect water lines on washers and water heaters, and clear out any food, loose plastic, or liquids. Everything else, we can handle.
Can you pick up large or multiple appliances?
Yes. For a full load or anything too heavy to move, ask about our bins and hauling and we will set up a pickup that works for you.
Which appliances do you accept?
Refrigerators, freezers, ovens, stoves, cooktops, washers, dryers, hot water heaters, HVAC and air conditioning units, and industrial kitchen equipment are all welcome. If you are unsure about a specific unit, give us a call.
Why do other places charge a fee when you don't?
Most sites pass along the cost of hazardous removal and handling. Because we recover and recycle the metal ourselves, we can absorb that step and take most appliances free of charge.
