What’s the difference between bare bright and #1 copper?
Bare bright is clean, uncoated copper wire, and it’s usually your highest-value grade. #1 copper covers clean tubing and pipe with no fittings or solder. Our team grades everything when you arrive, so you’re paid fairly for each type.
Do you buy insulated copper wire?
Yes. We buy insulated and coated copper wire and cable. Pricing depends on how much copper is recovered inside, so stripped wire typically earns more, but bring it either way and we’ll weigh it up.
Should I strip my copper wire before bringing it in?
That’s up to you. Clean, stripped copper usually prices higher, but if stripping isn’t worth your time, we’ll still pay a fair price for insulated wire as-is.
Do you take copper with brass or solder attached?
We do. Items like copper and brass radiators or soldered tubing are common, and our team knows how to grade mixed pieces so you get a fair payout for the copper content.
How do you determine copper pricing?
We pay based on the current market value of each copper grade, so prices can shift from day to day. Your load is weighed on-site and paid in cash before you leave, with no hidden fees.
