FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about recycling, accepted materials, pricing, or how the process works? Find quick answers to help make your visit easy and hassle-free.

What kinds of batteries do you buy?

We buy traditional lead-acid batteries of all kinds, including standard car and truck batteries, golf cart batteries, and steel-cased batteries, plus the lead-acid backup batteries from power supply units. We also take clean lead and lead wheel weights.

Do you accept lithium-ion or other non-lead-acid batteries?

No. We only buy and recycle lead-acid batteries. We don’t take lithium-ion, nickel-metal hydride, household batteries (AA, AAA, and the like), or EV battery packs. If you’re not sure what type you have, give us a call and we’ll help you sort it out.

Do the batteries need to be drained or prepped first?

No prep needed. Bring them in as they are, acid and all, and leave the handling to us. Just try to keep them upright on the drive over so nothing spills.

Can I bring in a large number of batteries from my business?

Absolutely. Auto shops, mechanics, fleets, and equipment yards drop off batteries by the pallet all the time. If you’ve got a steady supply, ask us about bin placement and pickup so you’re not hauling them yourself.

Is it safe and legal to recycle car batteries with you?

Yes. Lead-acid batteries are one of the most recycled products in the country, and we’re set up to handle and process them responsibly under California’s rules. Recycling them keeps lead and acid out of landfills and recovers material that gets used all over again.

How much are my car batteries worth?

Battery prices track the scrap lead market, so the rate shifts from day to day. We weigh your load on-site and pay cash before you leave, with no appointment and no hidden fees. Call ahead or just drive in for the current price.
