Modesto's Premier Electric Motors Recycling Facility

Electric motors are worth recycling because of what’s inside them: copper windings wrapped around a steel core. That copper carries real value at the scale, and we’ve been buying motors of every size for over a century. From a small fan motor to a heavy industrial unit, bring them in whole and our team will weigh and grade them on the spot. No teardown needed.

Top Motor Prices: We price every motor on the current copper market and the unit’s size, so bigger, copper-heavy motors bring more.

Full-Service Solutions: Clearing out a shop? We’ll drop off bins and pick them up so a full load is easy to move.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about recycling, accepted materials, pricing, or how the process works? Find quick answers to help make your visit easy and hassle-free.

What kinds of electric motors do you buy?

Just about all of them: small motors from appliances and power tools, large industrial and HVAC motors, alternators, starters, sealed units, ballasts, circuit breakers, and generators. Not sure if something qualifies? Bring it in and we’ll take a look.

Do I need to remove the copper windings before bringing motors in?

No. Bring your motors in whole and we’ll grade them as they are. Tearing one down usually isn’t worth the effort, since we already pay for the copper and steel inside.

Why are electric motors worth recycling?

Motors are built around copper wire in a steel frame, and copper is one of the higher-value metals we buy. Recycling recovers both so they can be used again, instead of letting a valuable unit corrode.

Do you take motors that still have wiring or mounts attached?

Yes. Attached wiring, brackets, and hardware are no problem. Our team grades a mixed unit fairly, so you get paid for the metal without cleaning anything up first.

Can I drop off a large batch of motors from my business?

Definitely. Repair shops, contractors, and manufacturers bring us motors by the bin. If you generate them steadily, ask about bin placement and pickup so you spend less time hauling.

How much can I get for my electric motors?

It depends on the motor’s size and the day’s copper price, since a copper-heavy unit beats a small sealed one. We weigh on-site and pay cash before you leave, with no appointment and no surprise fees.
