HISTORY

"SAVE SCRAP FOR RECYCLING" is our company motto. Modesto Junk Company's progressive growth and success from the World War II years to the early 1990's caused us to outgrow our current facilities. Although our company remains on its' current site, it has expanded throughout the years to over 2 acres and in 1994 went through an extensive major rebuilding development to complete a modernized office and warehouse facilities. This effort resulted to better serve the needs of our customers and our increasing flexibility. Our new facility, dedicated in 1995, now incorporates scrap processing equipment that meets the demands of our local, regional, national, and international consumers.

MODESTO JUNK COMPANY has state-of-the-art processing equipment and computerized technology. We have several aluminum can densifiers, hi-speed balers, an 80ft truck scale, a fleet of trucks, forklifts, metal storage bin containers of various sizes, heavy machinery scrap metal handling equipment, including a magnet and CAT excavator with bucket loader, 20 yard-40 yard roll off containers, a LaBounty 70 mobile shear, Excel non-ferrous baler, and a 2000 model Harris 500 ton baler/logger/shear.

COMPLIMENTING this redevelopment is a modern two story office building, large warehouse facility, domestic and overseas loading dock, and rail access.

OUR fully computerized scrap metals program and professional staff allows us to promptly serve the needs and pricing priorities of our commercial and industrial customers.  Our expert metal sorting personnel ensures our company and customers that we are big enough to get the job done, yet small enough to care!
